Through its Healthy Families Program, Fundación Agrolíbano followed up on the work plans of 12 health committees, made up of more than 80 community volunteers in Valle and Choluteca. These local leaders promote prevention and self-care initiatives by encouraging healthy homes and healthy habits, supporting pregnant and postpartum women, monitoring the nutritional status of children under six years of age, and fostering a culture of peace. Strengthening these community structures contributes to reducing deprivations identified through the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI). Through these efforts, Fundación Agrolíbano continues to promote community leadership and participation as key tools for building healthier and more resilient communities.
